2020 Christmas BBQ - Our only event this year!
At last, we can finally meet in person again! COVID-19 put a complete stop on our ski season this year but certainly won’t stop us from having our annual Christmas BBQ party. Let’s celebrate again in style at the boathouse with fellow club members - Sunday 13 Dec 2020 - Please RSVP on Meetup. This is a chance to catch up with friends or skiers from our club, socialize and help keep the ski club and industry alive!.

With the restricted ski season opening in less than two weeks, the time has come to make an official announcement to all our members regarding the status of our ski program for 2020. After discussion amongst committee members in the last couple of weeks, we’ve decided we will not be running our usual ski program in 2020.
We delayed this decision as long as possible, but even with the easing of some coronavirus restrictions and resorts opening at a limited capacity, we are not in a confident enough place to proceed with the essential planning and commitment of funds, particularly regarding accommodated trips. I know this is disappointing news for many but we believe this is a wise and safe decision given all the uncertainties and barriers around organising trips with socially distancing, especially with shared ski lodge accommodation, mountain entry restrictions and carpooling.
As such, there will be no trip program this season.
We may potentially organise a few day trips, but if this does happen, people would have to drive themselves to the mountain - basically no carpooling would be organised by the club. This is not a guarantee; we will wait and see what happens with official Government guidelines regarding COVID-19.

For the Facebookers out there: we now have a presence on Facebook. We are intentionally limiting our activities there - announcements and details of our trips will be still be made on Meetup - but we may use Facebook to publish photos of some trips.
